Mission Statement: The mission of the South Metro Professional Firefighters Foundation is to provide South Metro members and their families assistance in times of serious illness or injury and to assist the members of our community through humanitarian aid, financial support and general assistance to ensure quality of life.
The South Metro Professional Firefighter’s Foundation (AKA The 2164 Foundation) was created by the South Metro Professional Firefighters Local 2164. The Foundation was formed in 2005 by a group of firefighters that knew they could do more to serve our community. We are a 501(c)(3) organization working primarily within our community to assist the families of firefighters who have lost their lives protecting the lives and property of the people they served and to support the programs, people, and facilities that make a difference in the quality of the lives of those less fortunate.
Assisting others is only possible due to the generosity of local businesses, individuals and organizations that support our work through financial donations. These financial donors are the real catalyst for change and hope for many that count on our help. A foundation is only as strong as its supporters!
The board of directors is comprised of firefighters and community leaders who meet six or more times a year to plan fundraisers, organize events in the community and decide how to best spend the raised and donated funds that come into the Foundation during the year.
